I&IMS is the first Spanish software developer company accepted as user member of ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum), founded by Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems and Sony Corporation in 2008.
The purpose of the forum is to facilitate the development and use of a global open standard for the interface of network video products.

The objectives of ONVIF are:

• Web services/WSDL based standard procedures for communication between network video clients and video transmitter devices.
• The architectural frame work covers a broad range of different network video devices, like video encoders, network cameras, PTZ domes and intelligent devices (video analytics).
• The ONVIF standard includes video, audio and meta-data (VCA) streaming from JPEG, MPEG-4 & H264 network video devices

I&IMS commercialises its new version of the DocuRemote 5.1 IP video supervision software which offers a wider range of supported IP cameras and servers by the main providers: Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems, JVC, Panasonic, Pelco, Sanyo and Sony.

Due to the product’ s expansion on the international markets, DocuRemote 5.1 is available in the following languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, French, German, Dutch and Portuguese.

Moreover, DocuRemote 5.1 has been updated with new functionalities that make easier its remote control and business and home video surveillance through Internet, Wi-Fi or 3G, thanks to the DR Pro built-in application, DocuRemote Explorer, which scales the image to be displayed and optimises it for new telephony devices like iPhone

On last October 28th and 29th 2008, the 5th Edition of the Forum @asLAN Expo Barcelona’08 was held in the International Trade Fair Centre in Barcelona (CCIB). I&IMS introduced the new version of its DocuRemote 5.1 IP video supervision system in the Axis Communications and Panasonic stands.

In this Forum 2008 edition, there was a 60% increase in the number of participant exhibitors (companies belonging to the @asLAN association and institutions) and received the visit of 1,286 professionals of the ICT sector

I&IMS attended the ITEA2 Symposium 2008 (Information Technology for European Advancement) and the ARTEMIS Annual Event (Advanced Research and Technology for Embedded Intelligence and Systems) that took place at the "De Doelen" Congress Centre in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) on 21-23 October 2008.

This year, I&IMS actively participated in the poster and demonstrator sessions of the projects it is a partner in and that show their final results: CANTATA and SODA.

The foreseen developments of new ITEA2 projects starting in 2008 were also been exhibited. I&IMS is a partner in: MIDAS, HDTVNext and Metaverse1.

The event, jointly organised by ARTEMIS & ITEA2, focused its working sessions on ‘European competitiveness and well-being through ICT-based innovation’ and gathered more than 500 participants for the Industry, Universities, Research centres and R&D&I authorities from all over Europe

Within the framework of the scientific diffusion of the SeCSE European programme (Service Centric System Engineering), I&IMS took part to the Technological seminar "Services: The Challenger for tomorrow businesses"  that was organised on last 22nd July 2008, in the auditorium of Telefónica I+D building in Madrid, with a joint lecture with The Polytechnic University of Madrid on “Video control y manufacturing process”.

The seminar, co-funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme, aimed at introducing the different concepts and applications around the SOA service-centred systems and gathered: AIDICO, ATOS Origin, I&IMS, TCP Sistemas de Ingeniería, Telefónica I+D and UPM

On May 21st 2008, I&IMS attended the V Edition of Integra + Security 2008, the Global encounter on Security and Emergencies, that was organised in the Zaragoza trade show, in Axis Communications stand with permanent demonstrations of the new version 5.0 of its DocuRemote IP videosurveillance software.
Integra + Security 2008 gathered, amongst others, the following events:

• V International Congress for Local Police Chiefs and City Councils  (CONJEPOL).
• IV International Congress for Security managers (DIRSEG).
• I Defence and Applied Technologies Show (EXPODEFENSA).
• V Security and Emergency International Exhibition.

More than 8,000 expert professionals met at the Integra + Security 2008 encounter, in a congress and exhibition area of more than 26.000 m²

I&IMS launches on the market and commercialises its new software DocuRemote 5.0 in its different versions for video surveillance (DRLite, DR Std and DR Pro) and to control / monitor (DR Control, DocuRemTIFF, DR Web and DR PDA) including new and improved performances like:

• A much more intuitive user interface making easier the use and monitoring options.
• More than 75 IP cameras and servers supported, multi-manufacturer (Axis Communications, JVC, Panasonic and Sony).
• Larger number of managed cameras (up to 36 simultaneously).
• Multi-processor support with significant performance improvement.
• Automatic image resizing of any resolution and format.
• Multi-disk management of sequence recording.
• User Groups definition with associated cameras.
• Optimisation of Input and output relay control.
• User configuration restoration.
• New alarms can be defined: motion detection on PC or camera, camera disconnection detection, etc.

DocuRemote 5.0 was officially launched with success in February 2008 in Madrid in the IFEMA trade fairs: SICUR 2008  and SITI/@asLAN'2008.

The first DocuRemote 5.0 training course to our distributors will be organised in I&IMS facilities in Barcelona on 4th April 2008

I&IMS attended the 16th edition of SICUR’08, from 26 to 29 February 2008  in the Madrid Tradeshow - IFEMA, in the Axis Communications pavilion 10 stand B17, and presented its software applications based on IP cameras and servers:

• AVsip, audio and video high-quality videoconference with connectivity under traditional VCF system standards.
• DocuDVM, MPEG-4 digital video management and recording (image and sound) with an associated content data base.
• DocuRemote 5.0, I&IMS’ new IP Video-surveillance system for camera monitoring and control, alarm management and digital archive of images that can be displayed under PC, web and PDA formats.

SICUR, the International Security, Safety and Fire exhibition, organised twice a year, has increased in 2008 its exhibition area of 22%, up to 41,857 m2, it was welcome 726 exhibitors from 28 countries, representing more than 1,600 companies and with a foreseen participation of more than 45,000 professional visitors

Within the Framework of the 15th edition of the SITI/@asLAN'2008, on last 26, 27 and 28 February 2008, in the new pavilion 14 of Madrid Tradeshow – IFEMA, I&IMS will exhibit its products:

In the Panasonic stand H1,the IP Video-surveillance system, DocuRemote for Panasonic, including DR Lite, DR Std, DR Pro, DR Control, DR Web and DR PDA solutions that can be connected with all the Panasonic  IP cameras from its Telesurveillance and security divisions.

In the Proxim Wireless stand D3, the high-definition videoconference, AVsip, as well as the digital-video management and recording with associated data base, DocuDVM, connecting in both cases with IP cameras and servers by Axis Communications.

SITI/asLAN, the Tradeshow for professionals, specialists in Networks and convergent Technologies, organised by @asLAN (association of network, Internet and telecommunications providers), moved to a 14,000-square-meter surface, to gather more than 100 exhibitor companies, with 600 trademarks and products with the most-advanced technology and a foreseen participation of more than 14,000 visitors
